I am Struggling...WTF is the Goverment doing?!

So during 2 hour drive today I also thought about what the government was doing about the Budget Cuts

then i see this car in the lane next too me come into my lane half way without signaling
i have to slam on my brakes to avoid crashing, when i honked the car backed off
i pass by and what i see?
a slut on her fucking iPhone
last time i checked talking on the phone while driving was illegal
where are the cops
then i noticed that a cop car was right behind me
i was excited, i thought he was gonna pull this slut over and give her a fat ticket
but no, he drives by as if nothing happened

uhmmm
why do we pay tax?
why does government spend millions of tax payers dollar every month on police?
we are paying for cops' doughnuts and gas
we are not paying for services we think we are paying
i have seen too many people break laws and commit crimes in front of police and get away with it

if we were to cut spending on policing and used on education me and millions of students won't be suffering right now

Anger, Frustration, and CSU System

Today was my registration date at CSUN
I have no classes Spring 2010 semester and I was pissed enough to post hateful "Note" post and Status updates on Facebook.

the "Note" and status update was about forming Fight Clubs on CSU campuses and eventually bombing Admissions & Records offices and book stores, this will mean everyone will have zero units, therefore everyone will have same registration date

well today I took 2 hour drive to no where to calm myself and think about a lot of stuff.

I thought back to my life thinking "What did I do to deserve this fate?"
I thought about the time I gave $5 to a homeless lady, the time where I helped an elderly lady carry packs of bottled water at Costco, and other good deeds I have done throughout my life.
Not enough good deeds? Maybe
Bad deeds too evil? Maybe

then I remembered a scene from Fight Club
the scene goes like this

Brad Pitt and Edward Norton arrives in front of a run down liquor store.
Pitt goes into the store and brings out the clerk to the back at gun point
Pitt grabs the clerk's wallet and digs through it
Pitt finds an expired community college ID and asks what the clerk was studying
clerk answers "Stuff"
Pitt threatens to kill the clerk and ask for more detailed answer
clerk answers "Biology"
Pitt asks "Why did you quit?"
clerk answers "Too many tests"
Pitt asks "What did you wanted to be?"
clerk answers "Veterinarian"
Pitt tells the clerk to pursue his dreams and tell him to run home and if he doesnt do what he said he will find the clerk and kill him
the clerk runs
Norton who was watching this asks Pitt what was the point
Pitt answers "It will be a new day for him, his meal will taste better than anything we've ever tasted."

I placed myself as the clerk
kinda got me inspired and calmed myself...
then I realized that all my principles and ideas come from movies
i dont know if this is a good thing or a bad thing
i will get back to it when i find out

California Budget Crisis

Adults often say "Children are our future, they will be our next leaders, scientists, and artists." yet California is cutting millions of dollars from Education.
The school system in California is almost the worst in the nation.
College tuition have reached its record high, classes have significantly decreased, and many lost jobs.

I am planning to take upcoming Winter Semester off because it would be near impossible to get the classes I need, in fact, it would be near impossible to get any classes next semester.
Friends have advised me to look at community colleges, I will try, but its not looking too good.

First week of 2009-2010 school year, I met a freshmen who was going around looking for classes. She was in most of my classes so I talked to her and asked about her situation. She said she was freshmen from San Francisco, she had 1 class and needed to add 3 more classes in order to stay in the dorms. Later I found out that she was not able to add any classes so she drop the one she had and went back to San Francisco and decided to take a year off and work full time.
She was not the only, a lot of freshmen were forced to take a semester or 2 off doing nothing or work full time, or go to community college.

Our future leaders, scientists, and artists are sitting at home, unable to attend the school of their choice or unable to receive the education they want and needed.
Our future doesn't look too well huh...

Relationship

While talking with large group of people of different gender, often the topic of "Relationship" comes up. Once the topic has come up, the question "Have you been in a relationship before?" goes around, people to people. Finally its my turn, my answer "Not yet" and the interrogation begin. "Why not?" "What types of girls you like?" "Do you want to be a priest?" "Have you had bad experience with girls?" "Whats your story?"

I answer the countless questions thrown at me with 3 simple words "I don't know"

I don't know why I have never bothered getting a girlfriend.

I was just walking down a path called LIFE when I noticed that I am now 20 and
without a girlfriend.
This fact does not bother me, although when I am bored, I did wish I had a companion I can contact.

I am a believer of faith and destiny, maybe that is why I didn't bother being in a relationship. I am just waiting for faith or destiny to bring me the person I am suppose to meet and and share my life with.
I guess.

Story... Part 4

A bright light shines on girls face
she squints, the light is too bright
we wakes up from deep slumber
she opens her eyes and see her boyfriend opening the blinds
he smiles as he said "Good morning sleepyhead, had a nice dream?"
she tries to respond but small headache causes her to forget what she was going to say
after couple of seconds later, she responds "Good morning...uhh"
boyfriend "Hang Over?"
girl "Maybe, most likely."
boyfriend "I will go downstairs and get some Aspirin, want anything else?"
girl "What are we gonna do for breakfast?"
boyfriend "There is a buffet that serves breakfast downstairs, I guess we can eat there later."
girl "Wat time is it?"
boyfriend "8:27"
girl "Ok then, just Aspirin and water will be fine, Thanks."

boyfriend leaves
girls is still half wake, she sits on her bed and stratchs her head
she turns on the TV
the news is on
traffic seems to be congested from people commuting to work
there is a minor accident in one freeway
in another freeway, a big rig flipped over knocking over a lamp post and spilling detergent all over the freeway, clean up is on the way but it will take time, only 2 lanes are open

next was weather, it seems that today will be 83 degrees at high
and 67 degrees at lows
with breeze but a clear day and night
there will be full moon tonight, perfect for the BBQ event she and her boyfriend will be attending later in the evening.

next was the local news
reports of accidents, robberies, and break ins the regular horrible stories
she decided to surf the TV for awhile when her boyfriend came back with small box of Aspirin and cold bottled water

she swallowed the Aspirin, maybe it was her boyfriends love, she felt better before the medicine can take effect
smiling she lies on her bed

then her boyfriend asks "So when shall we go eat breakfast?"
girl responds "Lets go around 9 o'clock"
boyfriend "9 o'clock it is."

till 9 o'clock arrives, girl lies on her bed thinking about all the wonderful things she and her boyfriend is going to do
she spent a lot of time fantasizing how her boyfriend is going to propose to her

in girl's fantasy
she and her boyfriend are at the BBQ chowing on delicious food
then suddenly her boyfriend comes up to her
and says "Hey, I have something very important to tell you and this might be the best time to tell you. We have been dating for over 3 years and I think that it is time for us to move forward..."
he kneels on one knee
then continues "I believe that you are the person I want to share my life and love with, I want to spend the rest of my life with you and you only..."
he reaches for his pocket and gets out a palm sized blue ring box and opens
the box has a beautiful diamond ring
he takes it out and while placing the ring on her ring finger
he says "Audrey, will you receive my love? Will you be my partner in life? will you be my life partner and stay with for the better or worse?"

her eyes are watery, tears starts to roll down on her cheeks
she is ready cry out loud of happiness
while holding back her urge to cry she says "y-y-y-yes."
he gets up and kisses her and embraces her tightly
she cries
and people around them applauds loudly...

a happy ending...
she smiles and looks at the clock
its 8:45, 15 minutes left
she dreams a little longer...

Fancy clock on restaurant wall reads 6:55

a waiter carrying a large tray followed by waitress carrying a bottle of wine and 2 wine glass comes over to the table where the girl and her boyfriend is sitting
waiter with large tray places a plate containing lam chops and salad in front of the girl
then places plate containing pork chop with seasoned rice and a bowl of clam chowder in front of the boyfriend
lastly he places a fort, knife, and spoon neatly wrapped in a napkin and says
"Enjoy your meal." before leaving
the waitress places the wine glass in front of the girl and her boyfriend reads the name and origin of the wine, opens the bottle, pours the drink half full, places the bottle in a bucket of ice, bows, and leaves

boyfriend lifts his glass and says
"For a wonderful evening and great food we are about to consume, cheers."
two glasses collide lightly
the two of them take a sip from the glass
the wine is sweet and delicious, definitely high quality.

they unwrap the napkin, places on their lap, and start enjoying the delicious looking food in front of them

the lap chop is moist and tender and the salad is full of fresh green vegetables and juicy cherry tomatoes, lightly dressed with Italian Dressing
the pork chop is cooked well yet it is juicy and tender, the rice is cooked to perfection and seasoned with special seasonings and herbs, the clam chowder is steaming, its texture is smooth, potatoes are cooked well not too hard nor too soft, every spoon full is filled with clam.

while savoring their dish and wine, they share a wonderful conversation
romantic dinner and lovey-dovey couple stuff

clock on boyfriends cell phone reads 8:05
check arrives
total cost of the meal is $59.38
boyfriend uses his debit card to pay the bill
he signs the receipt and leaves $9.00 tip
the girl is bit tipsy, she does not drink often
she is just glad that she wasnt wearing her high heels

using her boyfriend as support, they manage to get to the elevators without any trouble
however while getting in the elevator, she managed to trip over the little gap between the floor and the elevator and fall

once they arrive at the hotel room, the girl jumps on her bed and rests
her boyfriend washes up and gets ready for bed

after her boyfriend comes out of the restroom, girl gets out of bed and slowly walks into the bathroom.
she brushes her teeth, takes a shower, put on her pjs, dries her hair, and brushes them before going back to bed
her boyfriend was watching ESPN on TV

boyfriend turns the channel and 9 o'clock news begins
girl borrows her boyfriend's laptop to check her email and Facebook.
nothing important is in her inbox, only newsletters
nothing much on her facebook page
bored, she plays Spider Solitare on the laptop

after restarting countless times, girl gives up and shut off the laptop
and places it on the table
and lies down comfortably on her bed

9 o'clock news ends and 10:30 news begins
she is getting sleepy
her eyelids are getting heavier every second
she gets up and goes over to her boyfriend's bed
kisses him on is left cheek and wishes him good night
goes back to her bed and falls asleep

her boyfriend lowers the TV volume but continues to watch TV
he changes the channel and watch a movie that is being aired
when the movie ended, the digital clock on lamp stand between the beds read 11:30
he turns off the TV, walks over to the table where his laptop is on, plugs the charger, places the TV remote next to the laptop and walks over to girl's bed
he tucks her in and gives a peck on her cheek and whispers "Good Night."
turns off the lights and goes to sleep

holding hands, girl and her boyfriend enter the mall
their first stop is the Coach shop
girl tries on purses and sunglasses
after the dilemma girl chooses white sunglasses
when she gets her wallet out to pay for the glasses, her boyfriend beats her and pays for the glasses
while saying "Its my treat."
together, they go through many stores and they have fun

clock on a watch shop they pass by reads 3:05
they stop by Starbucks to buy coffee
girl orders tall Strawberry Frappuccino with whip cream on top
her boyfriend orders tall Mocha Frappuccino with whip cream on top
boyfriend gets his wallet out, but this time girl beats him and pays for the drinks
she says "This is my treat."
drink at hand, the couple finds a nearby bench to sit on and take a breather
girl suddenly asks "Hey, do you love me?"
her boyfriend asks "Whats this all of a sudden?"
girl replies "I just felt like asking, so do you love me?"
her boyfriend awkwardly replies "I think you already know the answer to that question."
girl looks the other way and says "Hmm, what was that? I don't know what you are talking about"
boyfriend lets out a sigh and says "Yes, I love you."
girl turns around and gives her boyfriend a hug, while holding him, she whispers in his ears "I love you too."

clock on hotel lobby reads 3:45
they go back to the hotel room
the sunny is still up, but both of them are tired
they both thought it would be a good idea to sit on their comfortable hotel bed
and relax for awhile
they will do something when the sun is down, but for now, resting their feet seems necessary

clock on boyfriend's laptop reads 6:23
boyfriend calls the girl over and says "Hey,look at this. Lets go there tomorrow."
girl comes over and sees an event ad for a BBQ and Fireworks taking place tomorrow at 7:00 PM on the beach
the girl is overjoyed and agrees
then boyfriend asks "Are you hungry? Wanna go eat dinner now?"
the girl nods
girl grabs her formal clothes and go change in the restroom
while her boyfriend changes in the room
when she comes out her boyfriend says "Hmm, you look awesome, ready to go?"
when she nods
he grabs her hand and leads her out the hotel room
holding hands they walk through the casino and arrive at a romantic looking restaurant

when the waiter arrives she orders lam chops with side of salad

picture this scenario

the digital alarm clock turns 8:00 and it starts to ring
a girl who was fast asleep gets up and clumsily turns of the alarm clock
she gets out of bed and head towards the restroom
she stands in front of the sink, looks at the mirror, and smiles
today was the day she has been looking forward
today she and her boyfriend planned to go on a trip over the weekend
her boyfriend was going to pick her up at 9:00
she takes shower, washes her face, brushes her teeth, brushes her hair, and put some make up on

clock reads 8:45
she turns on the TV and watch news
weather is on
sunny highs at 80 and lows at 64 its a warm day
then on to traffic news
no accidents on the freeway, no traffic jam, it was a clear freeway
so far so good

door bell rings and the girl opens the door to find her boyfriend standing in front
she hugs him and lets him in
"You all ready?" he asks
she nods her head and he carries her bad to his car as she locks the doors to her house and get into the front seat of the car
her boyfriend reverses out of the drive way and drive towards their destination: a beach side hotel

boyfriend parks the car
the drive took longer than expected because there was an accident on the freeway
the hotel is 5 story building
they walk into the lobby to check in
lobby is filled with vacationers and employees
they check in
their room number is 309

put their bags on the floor
hotel room is pretty large
2 beds, a couch, small table, 3 chairs, drawer, night stand, TV, and wine cooler fills the room
girl opens the curtains and checks out the view
beach is in clear view from their 3rd floor room
they unpack and plan their day
today they will enjoy the sun on the beach
they put on their swimming suits and leave the room

clock on the girl's cell phone reads 11:37
the beach is crowded with surfers, vacationers, sun bathers, and swimmers
boyfriend grabs girl's arm and pulls her into the waters
water is cold, but it feels nice against girl's skin
they splash water on each other, jump over the waves, and most importantly have fun
they sun bathe on the beach for awhile
they get hungry and decides to go eat out at a nearby family restaurant

the couple sits facing each other gossiping and planning the rest of their 3 day trip
boyfriend orders a bbq hamburger with onion rings and coke
the girl orders a guacamole burger with fries and 7 Up
their food and drinks arrive
it looks and smells delicious
they share their food, girl is happy not because her belly is full, but because she is with her beloved and their trip is far from over

boyfriend sits on bed reading the brochure planning what do to next as the girl is in the restroom taking a shower, sand in her hair was bothering her
when the girl comes out, her boyfriend hands her a brochure before going into the restroom to take a shower
the brochure was about a shopping mall couple of blocks down the street from the hotel
she is interested and reads more
boyfriend comes out of the restroom and
asks "well, how about it? We will go down there tonight and i will buy you something."
girl responds "You dont have to, i have money."
boyfriend saids "i insist, plus your birthday is coming up, just think of it as an early birthday present."
she reluctantly agrees
boyfriend grabs his keys, wallet, and cell phone and heads out
she puts the brochure in her purse along with the hotel keys and follows her boyfriend
holding hands they head out...

Damn, This Sucks

i had a lot of things to do this weekend
1st i was going to study and prepare for my midterm which is in less than 2 weeks
2nd i was going to wash my car
3rd i was going to go to the gym and workout

for some reason i failed to do all 3
in fact i have a presentation and an essay due on tuesday
i havent started on any of them
i gotta get out of this destructive path of procrastination
but why is it so hard?

someone once told me that procrastination is a drug, once you try it, you cant stop
i guess thats true
cuz i started procrastinating in high school and i was never able to stop
i will try hard next weekend
this weekend is already gone

Its So True

on ash wednesday
i went to church and attended mass
during the mass Father Han, priest at our church said something that i paid close attention to
he said our body adjusts to better things
our eyes adjust to clearer picture on our HD TVs
or better graphics on video games
our body adjust to softer beds and pillows
our taste buds adjust to better taste
our ears adjust to better quality sounds

once our body experiences something better, we will resent the old
this is so true
i played PS3 and Xbox360 and was amazed by their superior graphics
today i turned on my PS2 (now covered in dust) and immediately i noticed the inferior graphics
same for TVs, i dont feel like watching TV on the old TV

now how does this statement relate to church?
Father said since we adjust to something better quality we would do things the way we are most comfortable with
such as praying lying down or instead of reading the bible just skimming through
i dont know why but that just stood out to me

Family Name (Surname)

today my Chinese friend asked me how i write my name in Chinese
well i am korean
so why would he ask me how to write it in Chinese?

well Koreans used to use Chinese long time ago called Han-Moon
Chinese was used until Korean language (Han-Gul) was created in mid 1400s by King Sejong
even after creation on Korean language, Koreans learned Han-Moon
sometimes names are spelled in Han-Moon
because during translation, many last names were spelled differently
but by using Han-Moon people can see if other people who they share their last name
is in same family or not
so one of most common Korean surname is "Kim" but all the people who use the surname "Kim" are not related, one can use family history, DNA tests, or writing their surname in Chinese

as you all probably know, all Asian civilization started in China, some migrated south and colonized and created Korea, then people from Korea migrated further south and colonized a large island, thus creating Japan
some people in Korea, some in China, and some in Japan are actually blood related due to the migration that occurred long time ago, before surnames.

well i dont know how to spell my name in Chinese, but now i am curious
thankfully my parents know how to read and write Han-Moon and they know how my name is spelled.
but i am also curious about my family history
what does my family surname mean and what is our family history?
where do we come from?
are we related to other people who share same last name?

unfortunately i dont know anything about my family tree beyond my grand parents and to make things worse, i never met any of my grand fathers
i have two one from father side another from mother side
grand father from father side passed away when my dad was 4
grand father from mother side came to US when my mom was a teenager but was reported missing after LA riots of 1994

plus i cant use one of those family history thing online because my family originated in Korea and these sites are for families of US origin

i want to know...
damn
i have to do my own research and that means visiting Korea which will be in 5 years
i cant wait that long...

Music and Age

recently i have thought about what my music professor told me
"you know, when i was a kid, my parents did not like what i listened to, they thought it was disgusting and i didnt like what my parents listen to. It was out of trend and old, but i see my kids listen to hip hop and heavy metal rock and criticize what i listen to, i can understand how my parents felt."

and of course i am a hip hop fan and i started to wonder
will hip hop be old and become something that my kids will criticize me about?

i am a huge hip hop fan and 98% of music collection in my computer and mp3 player is hip hop, other 2% is random songs that i happen to like some classical, some rock, some new rock, some japanese, but never country or emo/punk

so when i grow old and have teenage kids and when they see me listen to hip hop
will they say some thing like "Dad, hip hop is so 2000's, dont you know today's trend is _______, you are so old school."
will they criticize me and tell me i am out of trend?
what will they be listening to?
what will be the trend then?

its an interesting thing to think about
what new genre they will come up with
or what new trend will be
aging is inevitable but trends change every minute

Why I Started this Blog

blogging might be a trend but i was never interested
i always wondered
"why would anyone waste time writing things?"
then in junior year
i was waiting for my parents after a long lesson at SAT tutoring place i was attending
when suddenly i started to have these ideas about random stuff
and i wrote these ideas down on my notebook
but even at home i had these ideas and thoughts i wanted to tell everyone
but if i just blurted out then people will think i am insane or something
so i needed to be more subtle
my english teachers always told me to publish my writings someday
but that costs money
and plus i dont know anything about publishing and i am just a kid
no one will take my writing seriously
so frustrated
i open Microsoft Word and just typed up my ideas

later i found out about blogger and thought, maybe i should make a blog and write things down that way someone out in cyberspace will read my writings
and i wont have to blurted out
so i opened an account and wrote down what i wanted
it was fun
and i think my writing skills improved too
so it wasnt total waste of time
in fact i think its great

Mother Nature, Very Caring isn't She?

during winter
i see a lot of PSA warning about flash flooding
i would drive in the rain even after seeing the message
because 99% of the time, it was wrong
i have never seen or been effected by a flash flood so i thought
flash flood would be just large puddle that formed because storm drain is clogged up
but today i found out what flash flood was

i was coming home from school, it was about 7:50 PM
60 freeway was congested so i got off at the nearest exit and decided to use the local streets
as soon as i reached intersection of Gale and Hacienda Blvd
rain poured, it felt like as if someone was spraying my windshield with a hose
i couldnt even see the car in front of me
the gutters were looking like a river
i had to pull into a parking lot and wait till rain slowed down before continuing to drive

its sure was a hell of a experience
i shall never underestimate mother nature ever again

lonelyness

i am a shy person
there are a lot of guys and girls who can go up to people and say things like
"hey, i think your pretty cute, wanna have a drink with me?"
but i am not one of them

i have never thought about being in a relationship
i always thought lovey dovey couple stuff can come after college and once i am independent from my parents

but since valentine's day is coming up, i have been thinking about love and things
i have short list of female friends
most of them were once classmates, we talk, but dont hang out
surely lack of girls in my life makes my life so boring
i need to go out and meet new people

too bad i dont dorm or go to school everyday
that would give me more chances to meet and hangout with new people

if there is a medicine that cures my inability to socialize with girls
then i would buy it and overdose on them

i guess i can try to tell Ann S. that i love her
but
things are looking grim...

Have I Met You Before?

have you ever had a feeling that someone in your class or someone you saw on campus looked very familiar even though you know that its your first time seeing that person?

I felt like that today and ever since i started college
random people i see looks very familiar
like today we were doing group work in my writing class
and this girl in my group named teresa who looked and sounded so familiar
so i asked her where she was from
she answered "i am from the valleys, i lived here for all 18 years of my life."
so obviously it was my first time meeting her, or is it?

i have 2 theories about the reason behind why we feel someone look so familiar even though you just met them

1) i call it "indirect meeting memory theory"
when we stand in line we dont look at one place and focus, we look around
we look at the clock, other person in line, people passing by, and etc
so when we see these people, our brain puts the faces of people we saw in our memory
and when we happen to come across that person, we get that familiar feeling

2) look a likes, there has been many celebrity look a likes so why not look a likes of our friends and family members. a childhood friend look a like will surly give you a feeling that look a like looks familiar, but this theory has holes.
if a person who looks like our friends and family give us that familiar feeling, then shouldnt we know that this person looks like our friends and family?
a flaw in my theory

as for teresa, i think 1st theory fits in the best. teresa doesnt look like any of my friends or family so my guess is that i saw her on campus when i am in line for something, going to class, or even in the parking lot, possibilities are endless

Human Progress and Advancement

humans are fascinating creatures
our knowledge is more advanced than any other creature on Earth
and our knowledge is growing non-stop
it makes me wonder "How far can we go?"

when JFK said he was going to put a man on the moon
everyone thought it was bogus and silly
but we ended up putting a man on the moon, it was truly a great step for man kind
although no major space exploring occurred since 1969 Apollo Project (exception of few trips to space station)
we are advancing

i have posted that i played Metal Gear Solid series
well Metal Gear Solid 4 takes place in year 2014 where weapons are IDed using soldier's DNA (sorry if i am wrong), unmanned robotic security roaming around (Gekko and Sentry), a virus that kills certain people with certain DNA (FOXDIE), super computer that controls the world (The Patriots), camo that is supreme (Snake's sneaking suit), special undetectable nuclear weapons (Nuclear warhead used by Metal Gear Ray), medical technology that allows people to mutate DNA to allow one to have special powers (Volgin and Cobra Ops), technology to create cyborg (Cyborg Ninja and Raiden), and nanomachines that controls soldiers and enables them to communicate without speaking

it got me think "Will this how world would look like in 10-20 years?"
other than the special abilities and cyborg
i believe everything else in MGS is not far away from being invented
there was a news a while ago about an invisible tank, being researched in US Military
who would thought?
invisibility was only in fantasy books and movies, but in maybe 10 years
US military will add an invisible tank to list of weapons

not only the weapons, but what about entertainment systems?
PS3 and Xbox 360 have awesome graphics, some looks soooo realistic its not even funny
and TV, plasma HD TVs that displays crystal clear picture.

Heaven

Heaven is defined as an eternal resting place for the afterlife
but what does heaven look like?

there are many theories on how heaven looks like
a grassy plain
field of clouds
Garden of Eden
and many many more theories

i think heaven is whatever the world the person creates
for an example, if a person wanted heaven to be sandy beach with clear skies and blue waters then thats their heaven
if someone wants their heaven as a rain forest, then thats their heaven

i also believe that heaven can be a place where we can achieve dreams we could not when we were alive
if someone wanted to be a superhero, then in their heaven they can be one
if someone wanted to be a doctor but failed to become one during life, then they can become one at their heaven

many religious scholars would disagree with me, because many believe that we loose all our earthly desires once we die, therefore my theory will be wrong

now different religion believe in different things
i know Buddhists believe in rebirth
and atheists believe that once u die, thats it
there is no afterlife, one u die, u no longer exist
we all have our theories
but we dont find out till we die....

Getting a Hair Cut

as u probably know, guys get hair cut more often than girls
and guys tend to keep their hair short
well i need a hair cut
i cant remember when i got my last hair cut
i think it was summer but anyways its too long know
i found out today that my hair can cover my face literary

i am not emo btw
i brush my hair back so i didnt noticed that it was this long

i remember i started to grow my hair out after a horrible incident
summer of 07 before my senior year in high school began i needed to take a photo for yearbook
my hair was long so i decided to tidy thing up before i took the picture
i went to Fantastic Sam's near by where a Chinese lady who can speak fairly good English cuts my hair, her name is Lisa
unfortunately Lisa wasnt there that day
so someone else cut my hair
i told him:

"#1 (length of hair according to their menu) on the sides and back, and i want to spike my hair"

i guess he didnt understand me (his English was really bad)
i took off my glasses and he went to work
while he was cutting my hair i had a bad feeling, i said short but it felt like he was shaving my head
after every thing was done i put my glasses and look in the mirror
i was in shock...
there was about 1/2 inch of hair standing on my head!!!

now i didnt complain, i am too kind hearted (this is my curse and my gift)
i took the yearbook picture the next day and avoided my friends for 2 weeks
after this i started to grow my hair out
one time it was soooo long that i can tie a short ponytail on the back of my head
since that day
the only hair cut i got was
trims and more trims

but tomorrow i am gonna go to a new place
and actually cut my hair
go back to my old style because i have 2 bottles of hair jell and
i cant use the jell for my current long hair
hope nothing bad happens

Metal Gear and Metal Gear Solid

things about Metal Gear, its been around for awhile so many gamers are familiar with it
its unique game play and well written storyline attracts many consumers
even if you dont play the game, you should read the storyline
now here is the info (i got most of the facts from wikipedia so if something does not make sense, refer to wikipedia)

Metal Gear game debuted in 1987, it was designed by Hideo Kojima and was released on MSX2 computer platform in Japan and Europe
a heavily modded version titled: Revenge of Snake was released for NES in US and Europe
later a sequel titled: Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake was released for MSX2
after the release of 2nd sequel Kojima worked on side projects like Snatcher and Policenauts before going back to Metal Gear

the third Metal Gear game is Metal Gear Solid which was released 1998 for PlayStation
this inspired 2 sequel and 1 prequel games to be produced
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (PlayStation 2, sequel to Metal Gear Solid)
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (PlayStation 2, prequel to all Metal Gear Solid games)
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (PlayStation 3, sequel to Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty)
Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops (PlayStation Portable (PSP), sequel to Snake Eater, prequel to Metal Gear Solid)

the title is named Metal Gear, because Metal Gear is an ultimate weapon capable of launching nukes and causing destruction and everyone is fighting to get their hands on it
Snake, the protagonist, is trying to destroy Metal Gear so that it does not fall into wrong hands
the 3rd game of the series, Snake Eater, has a bit of a different plot from other games, and you have to read it to find out i dont want to spoil it for some people who is going to play the game but i am going to tell you that there is a twist to the plot

what makes this game so special?
aside from good graphics (it was good for its time) and awesome and addictive plot
the game play for this game is different from many other shooting games
in Metal Gear, one must sneak into places without the enemy noticing, now its not game over if the enemy sees you, but when you are spotted, the game gets very difficult so sneaking or quiet methods to disabling enemies are recommended

now the main protagonist is Snake, Snake is his code name, he is an agent for an anti-Metal Gear group, most of his mission involve destroying the Metal Gear
now 3rd one is different, and if i tell you how its different, i will be spoiling it so i wont tell

this game overall is great, all of my friends like it, and all the people that played the game loved it, plus its old so its very cheap so why not give it a try?

Crazy Shit

crazy shit, simplest words i can use to describe what i saw on the streets few hours ago
i was on my way home from a friends house around 1:30 AM
me and bunch of close friends were at one of our friend's house because my friend wanted to play Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater in 1 sitting (i will talk about Metal Gear in the next post)

well it was getting late and we all decided, it was time to go home

since most of us live in the same area, we take the same route
one street we take is Halliburton Rd
its a 4 lane (2 per one direction) street in the residential area
the street goes over a hill and connects to the major street
it is lot quicker than going around so me and my friends like to use Halliburton Rd
but Halliburton is kind of dangerous at night because there only few street lamps lights up the street

anyways my friend Andy, was way ahead and out of my sight and i was coming down the hill
at nearly 50 mph (legal speed limit is 45, but its downhill) when i caught a quick glimpse of what it looked like a figure standing in the middle of the street at the foot of the hill
at first i was thinking it was some kind of an animal and did not think about slowing down
but something bothered me and just to make sure, i turned on the high beam and saw that there was two people, a male and female, walking in the middle of the street towards me
then i saw Andy's car's brake lights go on and suddenly and quickly changing lanes and later making a U-turn and pulling over on the other side of the road
i also swerved out of the lane i was in and dodged the crazy people on the street

the male was white and shirt less with jeans
the female looked hispanic with a blouse and short skirts (did not get a good look at her)
the male looked angry and was cussing at me and the girl next to him
he was walking towards me and i was driving towards him
the girl was pulling on his arms screaming "Stop! Stop! Please Stop! Lets go home!" and the guy looked drunk

dont call me crazy but i had an urge to run over this guy
he was just crazy, when i got close enough, he was running towards me and when i passed him he was trying to either kick, punch, or throw something at my car
at the first glance i knew he wanted to damage my car
i said to myself, "This mother fucker wants to play chicken, well, lets do it, i have nothing to loose"
here in California, even if i ran over him accidentally he would be at fault for J-walking and behaving recklessly in public under the influence and causing safety hazard
well obviously i didnt run over him, i am not that crazy, i dodged him and passed by, for all i know, he could be carrying a gun
he was reaching into his packet when i passed by him

on AIM few about an hour later, Andy and i talked about this incident
he said he also had the urge to not stop because he gave off bad vibe and such
Andy also said, he pulled over and called the cops
coincidentally i hear sirens pass by when i parked my car at home, my house was very close to the place where this incident took place
Andy said he waited few minutes for the cops and left because his car was modded and he did not want the cops to accuse him of illegally modding his car
Andy also said while he waited for the cops, the crazy guy either kicked or tried to kick the cars that passed by, he did not see me because he was making a U-turn
Andy made a U-turn because right when he passed by the crazy guy, he said he heard a girl scream and thought he hit her and decided to pull over and help or something
but end up calling the cops

we decided to wait till later in the day to talk about it
because we are gonna have lunch with others and we are gonna tell the others about this crazy incident

the world is a crazy place, full of crazy people, doing crazy shit

Resolutions

so its the 1st of January
time for New years Resolutions
although many of us forget them after a week
i am gonna try to keep my resolution for the month of January at least...
we will see how long my composure will last...

anyways
this year, my resolutions will be about health
last year it was about knowledge and faith
so why health?
well i have noticed that i gained weight and i can see fat collection on my stomach
after college started, i ate a lot of fast food and had less time to shoot hoops with friends and go to gym and work out
although school is only half way finished
i am willing to make room for some exercise, since 24 Fitness is few blocks away, and i can also wake up in the morning
another thing
i am going to sleep early, instead of 4AM maybe 1 or 12AM

now last resolution will be about socializing
i am one of those people who, when meeting new people, stays quietly and listen and observe
this year i am gonna try to extrovert more
and try to be more confident
